ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
All staff will be provided with information and training in respect to selling alcohol including measures to prevent the sale of alcohol to underage people. Bar staff will consist of experienced volunteers who will be instructed to challenge anyone who looks underage and refuse to them if they cannot produce a record of proper identification.
Notices will be displayed in and at the entrance to the marquee indicating that it is unlawful for any person under 18 to purchase alcohol or for any person to purchase alcohol on behalf of a person under 18 years of age. There will be a clear written policy in the marquee to prevent the sale of alcohol to persons under 18 years of age and the requirement to produce identification.
The prevention of crime and disorder
SIA registered door staff will be employed at the event. The event will be preadvertised as ticket only with no sales of tickets on the door. There will be officially designated stewards to cover the event. A log book will be kept in the marquee of all persons employed as door supervisors with relevant requested information such as licence number, hours of work etc. Number of persons entering the marquee will be recorded and controlled by the registered security team.
Public safety
Plastic glasses only will be used at the event. There will be 4 emergency exits in the marquee clearly marked and an exit in the surrounding fence clearly marked and illuminated. Electrical equipment will be installed and checked by a qualified electrician. Marquee is constructed in aluminium and mehre fire retardent laquered PVC. There will be adequte lighting on the site. Adequate toilet facilities will also be provided for the event and will be sited adjacent to the marquee. Fire precaution guidance notes will be adhered to with recommended levels of fire extinguishers positioned throughout the marquee.
The prevention of public nuisance
All staff will be made aware of the need for customers to enter and leave the site/marquee in an orderly manner. The level of the amplification will be monitored to ensure that it is not too high. All refuse will be collected and removed from the site by the organiser.
The protection of children from harm
All children under 16 years of age will be supervised at all times whilst on the premises by an accompanying responsible adult. Children under 16 years of age will not be permitted to sit or stand at the bar counter. A seperate soft drinks bar will be utilised away from the main bar selling alcoholic drinks.
