Permitted Activities

Additional Conditions

• Mandatory Conditions Supply of alcohol (Licenced Premises)

  Tap water must be provided on request to customers

  No irresponsible promotions

  No alcohol to be directly dispended into a customers’ mouth

   

  No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  a)               at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of               the premises licence or,

   

  b)               at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a               personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.

   

  Where one or more individuals are at the premises to carry out a security activity, each such individual must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.

   

  The premises licence holder or club premises certificate holder shall ensure that an age verification policy applies to the premises in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol:-
  
  The policy must require individuals who appear to the responsible person to be under 18 years of age (or such older age as may be specified in the policy) to produce on request, before being served alcohol, identification bearing their photograph, date of birth and a holographic mark.

   

  The responsible person shall ensure that:-
  
  (a)               Where any of the following alcoholic drinks is sold or supplied for sale or               consumption on the premises (other than alcoholic drinks sold or supplied               having been made up in advance ready for sale or supply in a securely               closed container) it is available to customers in the following measures:-
  
  Beer or cider - ½ pint;
  Gin, rum, vodka or whisky - 25ml or 35ml; and
  Still wine in a glass - 125ml; and
  
  (b)               Customers are made aware of the availability of these measures.

   

  PERMITTED HOURS

  Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.

  In this condition, permitted hours mean:

   

  On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31st December).

   

• CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE

   

  General

   

  All staff trained along BIIB guidelines in respect of retail selling of alcohol.

   

  To operate the Portman Group ID card scheme.

   

  Operate a zero tolerance policy to drugs.

   

  Any person found to be using drugs or selling drugs on the premises to be removed.

   

  Prevention of Crime & Disorder

   

  Zero tolerance towards disorderly behaviour with permanent exclusion given to people who behave in such a manner.

   

  A refusal / incident book to be kept behind the bar.

   

  Public Safety

   

  Where possible, safety (toughened) glasses to be used.

   

  Fire fighting equipment to be serviced as appropriate.

   

  Free tap water to be freely available from the bar.

   

  Prevention of Public Nuisance

   

  A 'no litter' policy is in force and all commercial waste to be removed on a contractual basis.

   

  Customers leaving the premises in an orderly manner to be monitored.

   

  No music to be played in the outside patio area after 21:30

   

  Protection of Children form Harm

   

  Children to be accompanied by a responsible adult and will have access only to the front and rear lounge areas.

   

  Children are not allowed to sit or stand at the bar

   

   

• CONDITIONS ATTACHED AFTER A HEARING BY THE LICENSING AUTHORITY

   

  All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulated entertainment is being provided, except in the event of an emergency.

   

  The licence holder or his representative shall conduct regular assessments at least once in every hour of noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment, and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residence. A written record shall be made of those assessments in a log book kept for that purpose and shall include, the time and date of the checks, the person making then and the results including any remedial action.

   

  No amplified music shall take place without a noise limiter being placed on the equipment.
