Mandatory Conditions Supply of alcohol (Licenced Premises)
1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:
(a) at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence or,
(b) at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.
2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
3. Where one or more individuals are at the premises to carry out a security activity, each such individual must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority,
Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless subsection 1(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendations made by that body.
1. Where -
(a) the film classification body is not specified in the licence, or
(b) the relevant licensing authority has notified the holder of the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question,
admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.
“children” means persons aged under 18: and
“film classification body” means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c 39) (authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).
PERMITTED HOURS
In this condition, permitted hours mean:
On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31st December).
Annex 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
Regular checks made to toilet areas for signs of drugs etc
No happy hour promotions on the premises
Public Safety
All electric and gas appliances and fire fighting equipment to be checked annually.
Regular noise checks to be made when amplified music is played.
All windows and doors to be closed during regulated entertainment save for in cases of emergency.
The ‘safe capacity’ figure for the premises including staff and performers shall be determined at 200. This figure shall be recorded in writing and made available to Police Officers, Licensing Officers or other responsible body on request.
The defined area as shown on the plan shall be provided for dancing, performances of dance and any entertainment of similar description and this area shall be cleared of all non-permanent fixtures and fittings during the activity.
There shall be sufficient signage in and around the defined area, to prevent the consumption of food or drink or possession of lighted cigarettes or cigars by those who are dancing within that designated area.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
Posters to be placed on the premises and staff to be trained so that persons who appear to be drunk will not be served.
Protection of Children from Harm
No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the bars.
There shall be in place for the premises a written policy to prevent the sale or supply of alcohol to persons under 18 years of age. That policy shall require any person who appears to be under the age of 18 years to produce one of the following forms of identification:
· A recognised proof of age card accredited under the British Retail Consortiums Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS)
· Photo driving licence
· Passport
· Citizens card supported by the Home Office
A notice or notices shall be displayed in and at the entrance to the premises where they can be clearly seen and read and shall indicate that it is unlawful for persons under 18 to purchase alcohol or for any person to purchase alcohol on behalf of a person under 18 years of age (unless the recipient is 16 or 17 of age, is taking a table meal accompanied by an adult and consumes only beer, wine or cider with that meal). That proof of age may be requested at the premises and those accepted means for proof of age listed.
