ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
Alcohol for sale will be in one area of the premises only, located to the side and rear of the counter to minimise the risk of theft.
Prevention of crime & Disorder
A CCTV system shall be installed and (or alternatively where such a system is already installed) shall be maintained in working order and operated at the premises.
The system shall be used to record during all hours authorised for licensable activities.
The system should be able to quickly export video and stills to a removable storage medium. Following export, the images shall be capable of being played on a DVD or PC without any additional software.
The images recorded by the CCTV system shall be retained in unedited form for a period of not less than 31 days and be endorsed with the accurate relevant time and date.
The recordings shall be provided to officers of Lincolnshire Police on request.
Protection of Children from Harm
There shall be in place for the premises a written policy to prevent the sale or supply of alcohol to persons under 18 years of age. That policy shall require any person who appears to be under the age of 25 years to produce a form of identification, which is compliant with the following:
1. The card has a verifiable means of accreditation for the information held upon it. (i.e. issued by Central or Local Government, recommended by Home Office or ACPO, supported by Government e.g. Photo Driving Licence; Passport; PASS card)
2. The information on the card provides the date of birth of the holder
3. The card provides information to identify the holder both by name and photograph
4. The card can be authenticated beyond reasonable doubt to avoid acceptance of fake/fraudulent identification.
All point of sale staff shall undergo training in the above policy with a record kept of the date of training, signed by the member of staff and the trainer.
A notice or notices shall be displayed in and at the entrance to the premises where they can be clearly seen and read and shall indicate:
a) That it is unlawful for persons under 18 to purchase alcohol or for any person to purchase alcohol on behalf of a person under 18 years of age.
b) That proof of age may be requested at the premises and those accepted means for proof of age listed as above.
